It may seem a simple tale from humble beginnings, but this was no ordinary romance. At times it felt like the world was against us and yet we stuck with each other, through some of the best times, and some of the worst.
Meeting Each Other
It started out with a little bit of salsa, and we don’t mean the food. Although food was involved as Will shared a piece of chocolate brownie during a break. He then told a coworker he liked Lea, who told their mum, who told their best friend, who told their daughter who was… Lea! Smooth…
Meeting the Parents
The Greenway introduction was at a Lions event starting with Will’s Nan thrusting a glass into Lea’s hand and declaring (not asking) “you like wine, don’t you.”, followed by an eventful evening. And the Races? Well there were leaks (not the Welsh kind), floods and unexpected visitors. Suffice to say they all get on well.
The Chase
Despite Lea’s insistence that she liked Will, she seemed to move away A LOT, but Will kept following. Every time things seemed settled, another opportunity arose and they were off again, coupled with common visits to see friends and family from afar. Luckily Will likes driving, and Lea likes sleeping in cars… perfect match.
The Engagement
2020, a world in Lock-down, and these two lovebirds had Lea’s milestone birthday holiday cancelled. Little did Lea know that her Prince William had plans to turn that frown upside down. With future in-law permission and a ring (eventually!) a reluctant Lea went on a walk and, one muddy knee later, became a blushing bride-to-be …
